Preserve the environment, or drill for oil?

The discovery of oil on a family property initiates a series of events including murder. Crofts keeps the reader, as well as Inspector French, working hard to identify the murderer and how the crime was done.This is one of the last and one of the best detection novels by Freeman Wills Crofts. Suspense and intrigue are maintained steadily.
